Patrice Brun, alto and tenor saxophones (teacher, performer, arranger) . Patrice is a french saxophonist based in Dublin since 1998. . He has been classically trained in France at a young age, at the Ecole de musique de Cusset (03) and the Ecole municipale de musique de St. Yorre (63), from 1978 to 1985. . In 1991, He started playing with various local bands as an amateur (progressive rock, blues and jazz). And it's in 1996 Patrice started playing professionally with l'Orchestre International Bernard Becker based in Clermont-Ferrand (63) (touring extensively in France and in Spain), and few other local bands such as Mr Pityful (blues and soul band).

But it is only since being in Ireland he developed his passion: Jazz. He studied and graduated in jazz performance at the Newpark Music Centre, Blackrock, Ireland and he is since a teacher there. During his studies, he attended several masterclasses of irish and international musicians such as Ronan Guilfoyle, Tommy Halferty, Benny Golson, Joe Lovano, Steve Coleman, John Patitucci and Ramesh Shotam. He also currently plays with different line-ups including his own bands Patrice Brun Quartet & Sextet and, Bop 5, the Rise Saxophone Quartet, salsa band Havana Che, and the great Louis Stewart. He regularly performs in several jazz venues in Dublin such as J.J. Smyth, the Boom Boom Room, 4 Dame Lane and Bleu Note. . He has also performed with the Dublin Symphony Orchestra and UCD "Sinfonia" Orchestra (both under the direction of Ciaran Crilly), A Night in Havana Orchestra (MD: Conor Guilfoyle), Fuzzy Logic Ensemble, Jerry Fish and The Mud Bug Club, Westlife, and The Commitments.

At Newpark Music Centre Patrice teaches instrumental classes (saxophone), BA in Jazz Performance - instrumental labs, jazz arranging, jazz improv. (ensemble classes). The performer: Patrice Brun Quartet, the Rise Saxophone Quartet, Bop 5, Havana Che. The arranger/composer: for the Patrice Brun Quartet & Sextet and for the Rise Saxophone Quartet.
