The JP251SW Bb trumpet represents the perfect balance of high performance at an attractive price and has achieved a wide reputation for the value that it offers musicians. John Packer Ltd have worked closely with internationally renowned trumpet designers and manufacturers Smith Watkins and have worked personally with Dr Richard Smith to ensure that the JP251SW benefits from the prestige of Smith Watkins' instruments.
An exclusive and specially designed Smith Watkins leadpipe was created for the JP251SW driving excellent articulation and sound projection.
The JP251SW also features adjustable 1st and 3rd valve slides, monel valves and is constructed from high grade 80:20 brass enabling the instrument to achieve a highly attractive tone.
The JP251SW is supplied with a JP601 mouthpiece and lightweight case. The case includes YKK zips throughout and has comfortable backpack and shoulder straps and a large storage pocket on the outside of the case. The pocket is large enough to store A4 sheet music and small accessories.

I recently purchased the JP251SW model. Since I’ve been using a “beginners” trumpet for about eighteen months now, (a reputable brand name instrument) I felt it was time to upgrade to intermediate level, having read numerous reviews for various trumpets, I chose the JP, I have to say this instrument has way and by far surpassed any expectations I may have had, considering the price tag. I think it is extremely well-made instrument, with great attention to detail, Intonation in particular is excellent. Hardy surprising then, that professional people are using this beautifully made trumpet.
Finally, I have to say the JP251SW has brought my trumpet playing to an entirely different level, to say I am absolutely delighted with it is an understatement…
