Damien Walsh
« Back to teachersDamien Walsh, Electric, Acoustic & Bass Guitar(teacher, performer, composer). Damien is an Irish musician based in Bray, Co Wicklow. He has been performing music from a young age, starting with a lead vocal performance in 1994 in the National Concert Hall at the age of 13. He went on from there to study music in school, particularly the guitar and was named Leaving Cert Music Student of The Year in 2000 recieveing an A in honours Music for the Leaving Certificate. He then studied and graduated in Jazz performance at the Newpark Music Centre, Blackrock. This comprised of 1 year of The Professional Musicians Training Course and 2 Years of Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music. During his studies, he attended several masterclasses of Irish and international musicians such as Ronan Guilfoyle, Tommy Halferty, Steve Coleman, Mike Neilsen, Rick Peckham & Keith Copeland. He also is currently working on two projects on the Fusion251 project which is a solo act and has played in Venues such as the Boom Boom Room & Ruby Sessions(www.myspace.com/fusion251) and as a singer and bassist in the Dead Coronas.
