Rottenburgh Recorders Like the violin, the "classical" recorder originates from the Baroque Era. Recorder making centres were Paris, London, Amsterdam, Nuremberg and Brussels. Friedrich von Huene subjected almost all original instruments of this period extant in museums to detailed inspection. These data taken together and based on instruments by Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph-Rottenburgh, The MOECK Rottenburgh baroque recorders at modern pitch were conceived. They are today's most-played baroque solo recorders and proved to be particularly reliable.
